22.01.2024 Today’s Insights from CIO Magazine: The Most In-Demand Generative AI Jobs
Dear Students,
While AI itself has been increasingly “the buzz” over the past decade or so, generative AI has been readily accessible to users like you and your peers only since November 30, 2022. But that doesn’t mean that there are no new careers yet for those of you interested in making it a professional focus.
While ambitious international students like you are likely already familiar with the first two directions listed in the CIO piece below, the article also highlights 9 professional paths that eager candidates, such as you and your friends, may not yet have considered (although it may take you a few years to reach the “Chief AI Scientist” position!). What’s more, while technical skills certainly play a key role in the success of an aspiring talent (yes, you!) within the featured trajectories, it’s clear from these descriptions that such career paths also require a good measure of MCI-coachable “power skills,” including written and verbal communication, judgment, critical thinking, ability to work well with diverse teams, and a host of others.
Organizations are optimistic about gen AI in the workplace, but rapid adoption has sparked the need for new hires to help design, develop, implement, and maintain gen AI tools and services.
