Sales Internship (5 months) – Mandarin-speaking – UK wide T2 VISA Opportunity

Mandarin Consulting International Limited is a career coaching and consultancy firm offering services to Chinese clients in both the UK and China. We are looking for candidates to join the fast-growing business on our talent program as a Sales Intern working in our London office or in the UK based remotely.

Successful candidates will be based in the company’s Sales and Marketing department, a collaborative, client facing team in the heart of the business, directly contributing to the company’s rapid expansion. With the majority of the company’s target clients being native Chinese speaking fresh graduates from leading UK universities, we would love to hear from bilingual talents who also have in-depth understanding of our customers’ native culture and consumer mentality and who can easily relate to them in the course of the company’s daily marketing practices.

In this role, you will be:

  • Strategically cultivating suitable potential clients on Chinese internet platforms and Chinese social networking sites;
  • Designing and circulating marketing messages to attract leads;
  • Arranging and attending consultative sales meetings with potential clients;
  • Attending follow up meetings with potential clients, discussing their needs and handling objections;
  • Holding meetings to conclude sales;
  • Briefing the programme management team about new clients’ requirements;

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications required for this post:


  • Education: Undergraduate degree or above from a recognised university;
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal ability in both English and Mandarin; able to present information clearly and with confidence;
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, working under pressure;
  • Sales Orientation: Enthusiastic and target-driven approach motivated to pursue a career in Sales;
  • Experience of using social media platforms e.g. WeChat


  • Experience of working within a customer service or in a sales environment;
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt and learn about Mandarin Consulting’s programs and services to effectively explain and sell them to clients;
  • Client Focused, with a creative mind and good attention to detail;
  • Initiative: Proactive approach towards identifying opportunities for business growth, and taking ownership of tasks to drive results;
  • Resilience: Ability to recover quickly from challenges, and be even more resourceful as a result
  • Team Working: Ability to build strong relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a high performing team

Pay: £ National Minimum Wage
