Alisa Salamon - coach
Alisa is a qualified Career Transition Coach and has over 20 years’ experience as a senior leader and accredited internal coach, leading large, cross-cultural, global teams to deliver complex, high-revenue digital products and services in the academic publishing industry. She has managed multi-million dollar budgets and worked alongside a diverse range of stakeholders across all functions to help shape corporate business strategy.
Alisa has lived in London, Paris and New York, working for multinational publishers such as John Wiley, Elsevier, Thomson Reuters, and Taylor & Francis. As a publishing professional, Alisa has been Associate Director of Program Management, responsible for delivery of complex, high-revenue, customer-facing digital products and services, and Senior Portfolio Manager, overseeing global onshore and offshore teams, responsible for a portfolio of projects and for delivering transformational business models. At Thomson Reuters, Alisa was Managing Editor for a range of financial publications. She has also used her strong editorial and linguistic skills to work on many specialist publications.
As an accredited Career Coach, Group Coach, and Mentor, Alisa has used her coaching skills to help teams perform optimally, communicate effectively, and collaborate skilfully to achieve successful outcomes. She has extensive experience of designing and facilitating workshops with culturally diverse participants. Alisa is expert at optimizing team performance, bringing together multicultural teams behind a shared vision.
Most recently, Alisa has focused on one-to-one and small group Career Coaching. She coaches people through the recruitment process, supporting candidates as they identify their strengths, values, and key competencies. She works with candidates to help them find the confidence and resilience to match their skills to their dream job and secure new and exciting positions within a range of industries.
Alisa worked on a research M.Phil. and has a B.A. (Hons) degree in Linguistics and English Literary Theory. She is a certified coach with Diplomas in Transformational Coaching and Group Coaching from the Animas Centre for Coaching, London. She is also a Certified Specialist in Project and Program Management.
