Karen Bliss - Coach

Karen has extensive professional expertise in the areas of project management, quality engineering and continuous improvement. As a Process Improvement Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace (a national subsidiary of $36B General Dynamics Corporation) for the past five years, Karen maintains relationships with Gulfstream’s business leaders to promote technology adoption across the enterprise. As an experienced team leader, Karen’s development/partnership efforts have impacted professionals, at various points throughout her career, in countries including Mexico, Germany, India, Israel, Brazil and Russia.
Previously, while at General Electric (a $95B American multinational conglomerate) for eight years, Karen contributed in progressively larger roles, including serving as Project Manager for managing software applications used by diverse business lines. Prior to that role, Karen spent nine years at the former United Space Alliance, contributing to the Space Shuttle Program as a Process Assurance Engineer and Crew Systems/Flight Design Engineer, and working as a Certified Flight Controller at NASA’s Mission Control Center as a “Day of Launch” Operator.
Along with substantial experience leading and developing large teams, serving as an operational auditor and driving compliance to ISO quality 9001 standards, Karen has a BS in Aerospace Engineering. As a Certified Quality Engineer, a Certified Project Management Professional, a Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certified IT Service Management professional and a Certified Scrum Master, Karen is also proficient in Lean methodology and applying Quality tools.
